iPhone 4s 7.1.1 Help

I am currently in the UK for work and would like to unlock my phone for any carrier. My understanding is that you are not able to jailbreak a phone that is 7.1.1 and unlock it, Is this true? If not, how can I go about jailbreaking my phone and unlocking the carrier option?

iPhone Jailbreaking and Unlocking have nothing to do with each other any longer. The original iPhone 4 baseband was the last that could be software unlocked after Jailbreaking. With that, your only options for Unlocking is to request an unlock from your wireless provider or using a 3rd party unlocking service.
