Hi everyone,
Nothing really traumatically wrong with my phone, I love it, but it is a little like the ghost in the machine... :)
Every once in a while I hear it make a shut-down noise like the old Nokia or Samsung phones used to make, its like a wind whooshing by or something. Its totally bizarre.
Today I thought it might be the "Catch the Bus" app I use, it was loaded when the phone was in lock-screen. I searched the developer's website but found no info on that.
Any ideas what's going on?

Gaz6076,

I actually purchased it, contract free, last month in the Apple Store (Boston).
No other noticeable problems (if you would even call this a problem).
Thanks!

Well try removing this catch the bus app you have see if it is that. I've never heard an iPhone make a noise when it turns off or on and I've had iPhones for about 3 years now...!

go into settings, sounds

fart around in here to see if you can hear that sound to help locate what is making it, where you see ON/OFF beside the type of alert turn in off then back ON to play that specific alerts sound
