iphone 3gs jailbreak

I'm on iOS 5.01 I'm running baseband 5.16.05 how risky is the jailbreak can't afford to brick it I used to root androids I'm new to iPhones

If you want to also unlock I recommend red snow there is now untethered as of a few days ago so thats a plus. There is no problems that i ran into but one failure. This problem was that it would not turn on and when it did the apple sign would come up and go away after 3 minutes then reapeat this so I put it back into dfu mode and every thing was good so I say go for it. There is minimal chance to mess up unless you are looking for trouble.
