Back in iOS 7 Apple finally added dynamic wallpapers to our iPhones and iPads. The animated wallpapers looked nice and worked well, however there were only a few to choose from, and customization was nowhere in sight.

A new report from 9to5Mac claims its sources say more motion wallpapers will be arriving with the iPhone 6S models and iOS 9. The sources told the blog that the new animated wallpapers will resemble those found on the Apple Watch currently.

Along with the Apple Watch's flower, butterfly and Earth motion backgrounds, the report claims there will be two more iOS 9 exclusives. The first will be a koi pond with a different range of fish swimming around behind app icons. The other claims to be different color smoke clouds, which will hopefully interact with the user as Springboard pages are swiped.

Some reports have claimed that the koi pond motion wallpaper has been 86'd from the final version of iOS 9. However, late last night a sketchy photo of an alleged iPhone 6S Plus box popped up on the web. The box showed a koi fish plastered on the iPhone 6S Plus' display. If legit, we might be seeing a koi pond and even more motion wallpapers on iOS 9.

What is the expected impact on battery life? Traditionally the resources required for motion screen savers are battery drains.

This was exactly my first thought. I remember when Apple first introduced dynamic wallpapers. They were really cool, and then everyone realized they killed your battery.
