ios 16.2 issue

I upgraded to 16.2 yesterday and today a pink band has appeared at the bottom of the home screen.
I'm having issues with the books app as well, the page goes off line and i cannot close the book. I can close the app though and resetting the phone fixes the issue for a few hours. ( I read a lot).
Any suggestions?

You say resetting: am I correct in assuming you are doing a ‘soft reset’?

13 ProMax, the pink band was to do with the wallpaper which changed uninvited.
Now corrected.

I can fix the app just by shutting down and restarting the phone a minute later but it reverts fairly quickly.

Look up soft reset for the ‘13. This does more than power down/ power up and frequently clears problems.

That line may also be one if the bugs that IOS 16.3 is addressing. I was able to upgrade to that IOS today.
