Internet issue

Hello I'm new to the forum and need some help. I bought my wife a iphone 4 today that's unlocked from Verizon. We got it flashed today to work on cricket wireless and everything works but the Internet. The place that flashed the phone said that only the talk and text options would work and if we wanted Internet we had to use wifi. I want to know if this is true or is there a way that I can make the Internet work for her in another way besides wifi.

Make sure your APN settings are correct and that they match Cricket's APN settings.

Thank you for the response. How do I do the APN thing your talking about. I'm not the biggest tech guy when it comes to phones.

The only way to set up the APN settings is through the flashing process. You would have to re-flash it.

So does that mean that the store I got it flashed at did a bad job? They charged me $50 and it took 1 hour and a half to do it.

That would be the case. You'll be setting up the APN settings during the flashing process. If it doesn't work out, then it means that it wasn't correctly done in the flashing process.

Wow that news makes me so mad $50 down the drain. Now I have to go around looking for a person or store that will flash it the rite way. I tried to surprise my wife and got screwed. Thank you so much for the help I really appreciate it.

If you have half a day to kill, you can do it yourself really. Just look up the videos and steps on how to do it, look it over slowly and repeat after. There are quite a few guides with detailed pictures and instructions to teach you how to do it.

That's not a bad idea but don't I still have to take it back to get activated to cricket again?

Don't think so. I believe dialing *228 will get it to the activated screen
