Incoming Text Message Shown as Read In My Inbox

Hi all!

I have had 3 unread texts sitting in my inbox that I have purposely not opened for a couple weeks now. I check my phone this morning and the blue dot is gone and my notification shows no unread text messages. Any thoughts on how this might happen (besides my phone being used by another person)

Have you checked your settings to make sure messages are to stay there forever?? May be set to get rid of them after so long. This may or may not be the correct answer. Just worth a shot.
