hmmm, i don't see any switch or red. It's in a case. However, there is a metal rectangular button above the volume buttons on the left hand side. I pushed that and voila! LOL Thank you very much!

That's the silent switch. It should be red when you slide it down to show that your on silent. Take the case of and have a look...
