Don't know if this is just me, but ever since iMessage was introduced with the introduction of iOS5, myself & my friend have had nothing but problems with this feature, so after reporting this bug to Apple technical support with which they got me to try out a few things. Here is a temp fix that will resolve this issue, go in to Settings, turn off send as SMS, and then iMessage will work again as Apple was unaware that this was conflicting with the normal SMS feature, and because they was unaware of this bug, and me being the 1st to report it, they have reported this to the engineers & there will be a update fix soon to resolve this, so yeah if anyone has had any issues with this service then this will help ok
