Rumors regarding the two new iPhone 6 models are going wild around the web, as Apple gets closer to its September 9th keynote and unveiling. The blogosphere claims that Apple will be incorporating larger displays on both devices, a 4.7-inch model and the phablet-sized 5.5-inch model.
Our favorite fruit company had always stated that there was no need for a display larger than 4-inches, however, this year it seems Apple will be unveiling a bit of a game changer.
After the release of the iPhone 5S in September 2013, KGI Securities analyst Ming Chi-Kuo stated that he believes Apple will never produce a screen, larger than 5-inches. It would be foolish to abandon "unwavering principle of one hand use", said Kuo.
Part leaker Sonny Dickson managed to team up with uSwitch Tech, offering an explanation as to how Apple's iPhone 6 will still be good for one-handed use.
"This ostensibly minor change should mean that much more of the display is accessible, while allowing Apple to incorporate a larger screen without making the iPhone itself much larger.
In keeping with earlier leaks, the photos also once again show that Apple has used much smaller bezels (the area at the side of the screen) this time too. This will also have helped the tech giant to fit the iPhone 6 with larger screens while keeping the phone’s pocket-friendly dimensions."
Although the two sources put up a good case, we're still not sure if thinning the side bezels, along with the bottom area, makes much of a difference. Dickson has been wrong in the past, so take this report with a pinch of salt.
