As the title indicates, I'm brand shiny new here

I do not currently on an iPhone, but my brother and three good friends do and I'd love to have one. My family and friends LOVE theirs!
I decided to join here in order to lean as much as I can about what will be a significant little investment for me.
I think I have a lot of reading to do here

Thank you very much guys!
I got my first iPhone today,a 4s.
I'm having a very hard time figuring it out. And advice would be AWESOME!!
I'm afraid that the service I got a the Verizon store was really terrible

I have no idea how to set up my "Apple ID". Would it be the same as my iTunes ID?
