I just jumped ship and totally love my I Phone 3 gs. It is really easy to use. I was wondering what are some of the essential apps you need for the I Phone and I really did kill my droid Samsung Epic 4g that is after that big update.

Welcome to the site! I don't know about 'essential' apps. I think it varies from person to person.

My favourite non-JB app is appbzr, which finds apps which are currently free that you normally have to pay for (on sale).

If you are planning on jailbreaking, then BackToDeb is great which backs up your Cydia apps, and LockInfo is tops.

Because there is no 4g in my area yet I live in SC and we barely recieve 3g

yeah some areas just have very poor signals.. i would like to see the day where every where you go you get a very good signal.

but so many places just have wifi spots now any way.
