Headphone mode

My phone is stuck in headphone mode. Any suggestions for fixing this? Thanks

Have you tried to reset the iPhone? You may need to check the user manual or online as to the method for your particular iPhone. (Reset maybe to hold the home button and power off until the iphone turns off and then the apple shows while restarts.)

Ok. Always one of the first steps.

I tried a google of “iPhone stuck in headphone mode” and that came back with a lot of suggestions/ hits. You may have done that already, but it is my only other thought at present, bar a trip to an Apple retailer, which may not be convenient.

Hopefully other suggestions will appear here shortly.

Could there be some debris in the headphone port, which would mimic the jack?

It seems to be a common occurrence/problem, hence the great number of suggestions I found under google. Obviously many will say the same thing as to how to resolve it.

Get a cotton wool, roll it over a piece of broom, then clean your earphone jack.
