Having a rather strange problem with screen

the display on my iphone 4 has inverted colours, white lines running accross the screen, and the bottom of the screen is flickering and displaying what should be the top centimeter of the screen. What exactly is wrong with it?

liston, it doesn't look good, but there are lots of questions: is the device under warranty? If so, replace. Have you dropped it, or when did this happen (after an update, new app, tc....?). Have you tried a hard reset, since this solves several iPhone issues? Good luck!

to answer all your questions, in order

- unfortunately it is no longer under warranty
- it happened in my pocket (must of bumped against my keys)
- ive hard reset it numerous times without any success

oh, and its still operates as normal, its just the visual part thats messed up

Have you restored as a new phone? Prob. wont' help. You need a new LCD. There are many places on eBay with great feedback that can repair it if your not up to the task.
