Hackers—Join the Cyberwar is a free-to-play, multiplayer iOS game where you get to build a 3D network and then hack the networks of other players online via the “high-end cyber combat visual interface.” Hackers went through a beta phase five months ago, helping it to already build up a sizeable following.
In the game you can use either stealth or battering-ram attacks to hack your opponents, and you get to undertake security, activist, or terrorist missions. There’s also a lot of depth and intrigue as you also get to research programs in cyberspace, and find different ways to build up your hacker reputation in the “First World Cyber War.”As you progress through the game, you’ll also get to develop and upgrade your hacking tools.
Hackers was developed by indie Czech developer Matous Jezek, and his team, which includes AAA veterans from titles such as Mafia II, previously worked on the well-received Hero of Many iOS game.
