Remember Google Now? The service that is supposedly Google’s answer to iPhone’s Siri? Well, with all the praise it has received around tech circles and ignoring the creepiness aspect of the app, iOS users had definitely something to be jealous of Jelly Bean Android users.

Google Now provides you with the “Right information, at just the right time” without you having to search for it. We’re talking about traffic status, train arrival times, flight attendance, reminders of birthday and meets. It might sound like Big Brother is following you around, but overall, the feats of Google Now are quite remarkable. And a new leaked video brings proof that iOS users might not remain deprived of Google Now for much longer.

Engaged.com stumbled upon a promo video that had just been posted to YouTube which showcased the purported Google Now version for iPad and iPhone. The video was quickly recorded and then re-uploaded before it got taken down from YouTube. The video features apparently the same female voice we heard last year in the original Google Now promo video. Would somebody go through so much trouble as to replicate such a similar voice just for a prank? Highly unlikely.

And that’s not all. Google Now is apparently spreading even further. French dev François Beaufort discovered the first concrete evidence in Chromium that pointed to the coming of Google Now to the Chrome browser. The Chromium Code does not only reveal what’s in the cards for the Chrome browser but apparently stretches on beyond to Windows 8.

Based on the above, Apple is going to have some serious competition soon, so is it ready to take on Google Now?
