gmail is it push email? first time i phone buyer needs help

I will be getting my first i phone. an unlocked one. of the i phone 3g 8gb.

i mainy use email on my phone and would like to know will i beable to get push email on my gmail account, instant notifications when i get new email.

Gmail is pushed to your iphone, no problems with that. Very easy to set up.

It is really easy to setup if you know HOW to set it up.

Please follow the guide from Google on how to do it or you will be VERY FRUSTRATED.

Basically you have to use Exchange to set it up properly, not GMail.
