Gmail alerts help

I just got another phone iphone 12 and I don't get new mail alerts I did on my old phone andi think I have it set up right

Gmail, notifications,allow, sound and badges and undersounds and heptics horn

Do you have "Fetch" set properly? If not, then you would only get mail when you open the mail app, and no alert. Go to Settings >Mail> Accounts > Fetch new data> At the bottom, select hourly, 30 minutes, or 15 minutes. And make sure your Gmail account is set to Fetch.

No clue about the Gmail app. All mine are in the default mail app. I assume you checked in the Gmail app settings, and enabled alerts. Also in the iPhone Settings > Notifications.
