Four of the Best Apps for Oscar Night

It’s the Oscars tonight in Hollywood of course, and Mashable has come up with a handy list of five of the best Oscar apps to help you enjoy the night even more:

Vanity Fair Hollywood: Oscars Edition - This free app is incredibly lush and comprehensive, as you might expect, enabling you to enter your own Oscar picks on Oscar ballots and share and compare your predictions with your friends. The app also enables you to keep track of Oscar-related tweets, view photos of the red carpet action and even get a look inside the Vanity Fair Oscar party.

Oscar Backstage Pass - This ABC Digital iOS app costs $0.99 and does exactly what it says on the tin - gives you a backstage pass to the Oscars. The app will show you the red carpet action from several different angles, as well as showing some of the backstage stuff that isn’t going out on normal TV. Coverage will also continue after the event at the Governors Ball.

E! Live From the Red Carpet - Another free app, this time from E! If you can’t be near your TV and want to actually watch live coverage, this is perfect, and it’s also not just for the Oscars, it’s for all the other major red carpet events too. Available as an international edition if you’re outside the US.

Check In With Get Glue - If you “check in” to the Oscars via the iOS Get Glue app, you’ll get some Oscar stickers.
