Fm transmitter problems

Hi!

New to my iPhone 4 so might just be my ignorance. I brought. Cheap 6 quid fm transmitter off eBay however when I plug it all In and tune to the station, then plAy music through the iPod app the sound still comes out of the speaker rather than via the radio. Should it automatically redirect the sounnd, or is there an audio output option I need to change somewhere? Or is it just a transmitter fault?

Yes, it sounds to me like your fm transmitter isn't compatible. I'm really not sure what ones are. Possibly check out the apple store.

Is the transmitter connected to the docking slot or the 3,5 jack?
