Facetime wont work

A friend bought a iphone 5 on the internet. she cant seem to get facetime to work. She has checked the setting and facetime is turned on under settings and also under 'general' and restrictions'. When she tried to use it with another 5 user, she'll push the facetime button and i think she said the call goes dead and then HER face is displayed in her screen. Anyone have and idea as to what is going on? Thanks

What wireless provider are you using the iPhone 5 on?
