I am using windows 2008 R2 and when i run evasi0n, it keep telling me "you must run this app as Administrator"

My account already have admin right to the machine and also specified it to run as administrator.

what's the problem and how to get it running.

My backup is on this machine, and have no problem with any other jb tool in the past with the system.

thank you

Where this seems to be cropping up is users who are members of the admin group, but not the true administrator account. It is possible to have an admin group that does not have ALL the rights which the true OS administrator account has. This can be particularly true for servers, like your own scenario.
For whatever reason, evasi0n is not liking the fact that you are not a true administrator, and that's probably something to do with getting enough privileges to correctly deploy and use the libmobiledevice libraries, although I havent been able to confirm that myself.

The "run as administrator" is a commonly misconstrued instruction. Instead of just double clicking on the evasi0n.exe file... you right click (control+click for Mac users) the evasi0n file, then click "run as administrator." Simple as that...

That's what I already did and is not working and hence the post.

It's really really dumb, but you need to run with the actual built-in administrator account on the computer, e.g. <yourdomainorworkgroup>\Administrator. Like, as in the one that you set up when you installed windows ( and hopefully remember the password you chose for it ). Just being a member of the Administrators group is not enough.
