enable tracking for family members

I am evidently not good at search phrases. How can I set up my phone and my wife's iPhone so that we can see where each other is. Specifically, when I lose my phone? How can she find it?
About phone has this:
Name iPhone
iOS Version 26.2
Model name iPhone 11 I don't want to spend $500 to upgrade
Model Number MWKT2LL/A

You can share your location with your wife. Just go her Contact name and opt to share your location from there and vice versa. You can’t have another person seeing the location of your devices, as far as I know.

Thank you for reply. What field has this option? I have looked through all the options and none have, for example, the words "share" or "location."

If you go to your list of Contacts either in the phone App or Contacts App, then go to your wife’s name. You will see several options including Share my Location.

No idea how I’ve set it up but I can see my wife’s iPad and iPhone in Find My. The devices are listed under her name. I was able to tell her a while back that her iPad had low battery, having somehow becoming unplugged.

Maybe Family Sharing is somewhere to start looking if this feature needs turning on? We have different AppleIDs, btw.
