Email/Facebook won't update

I have an iPhone 4, iOS 5.0.1 and untethered jb. The issue I'm having is that my email (using hotmail exchange) won't push even if I go into the app, just sits there d/l. Same thing with FB. I have to actually restart the phone. Though once phone restarted it d/l's mail with no problems and will work for couple days. Any ideas? Thanks!
