Disney Launches Star Wars: Tiny Death Star iOS Game

Disney’s first release associated with its acquisition of the Star Wars brand earlier this year is a delightful and addictive iOS game based around another iOS hit, Tiny Tower.

Star Wars: Tiny Death Star was created by Disney, LucasArts and NimbleBit, and is pretty much as you’d expect, i.e., Tiny Tower in the Star Wars universe.

Your job is to help Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader build the Death Star one level at a time, building apartments and businesses, putting your bitizens to work earning credits so that you can build more floors. It’s just as addictive as Tiny Tower, but with the added charm of everything Star Wars that is bound to delight the millions of Star Wars fans all over the world.

With more than 80 Star Wars themed floors to build, and more than 30 bitizens under your command, including beloved Star Wars creatures such as Wookies and Ewoks, the game certainly has longevity, and also has plenty of secrets and collectibles to unlock. The Rebels are also featured, but you'll have to play the game to find out how!

You don’t have to be a Star Wars fan to enjoy Tiny Death Star, but if you are, you’ll love seeing all the old familiar characters in their new tiny incarnations, and also love hearing the popular theme music tiny-fied! A brilliant first effort from Disney Star Wars, and not what everyone was expecting.
