Cut of screen

How do you set the screen to cut off when you are talking on the phone, mine cuts off so your face doesn't hit buttons, my girl friends don't ,

There is no way to make that happen..as it should happen without having to do anything.

If performing a hard reboot does not fix it, then she should restore the phone and *setup as new device* ....NOT from a backup.

Anything toggled on in Settings> iCloud will always be on her phone whether she restores from a backup or not. Meaning she will not lose her contacts provided that iCloud is the *only* account that has Contacts toggled on.

To perform a hard reboot, simultaneously hold home & sleep/power button for at least 10 seconds, or until the Apple logo shows.
