Cracked screen

Apple charge approx $250 to fix a cracked screen. Places like Best Repair will fix it for $75.

Apple are obviously making a fortune off this. They sell a product that is not fit for purpose ie drop it once and the screen breaks. Then they tell me the way they fix the screen is to replace the phone and make out like they're doing me a favour! No doubt they are making a(nother) fortune by abusing their customers in this way.

I always suggest that users "fix it yourself." Replacement screens are very, very easily attainable and how-to guides are literally everywhere on the internet. What model iPhone do you have... and we can get you pointed in the right direction.

Here's the screen for your 4S... iPhone 4S Display Assembly - iFixit. However, replacement screens of non-OEM quality can be found many different places online.
