Could the face id on my xs max be easily damage than touch id

Just having a concen over people complianing of face id failure even on lotter drop i teally want to consider down grading to an iphone 8 plus or so dont know when my iphone would have an issue or of it would although i onow am careful but we the buyers of apple product need to be sure of a duarble tech over the touch id amd not an intance where touch id coupd withstand damage or pressure than face id
