Charging Issue

When I try to connect my device to itunes and attempt to restore it, it gets stuck in a loop but when I plug it into a wall charger it makes it all the way to the passcode lock screen. My problem is I cant keep the device on long enough to restore it. What can i do?

When i put it in dfu mode it doesnt stay on w/o looping

DFU is kinda blank mode i think it wont loop if you get it there!

Assuming your device actually boots up to the Apple logo, you can put it into DFU mode. If your device never hits the Apple logo point, you have a faulty battery.

It shows the apple logo but.doesnt stay on long enough to complete the restore

Once you see the Apple logo, immediately put it into DFU mode.

You need to catch the moment where the phone goes to DFU , in other words when you need to release the power key and hold the home button only to get that mode!
