Can the default calendar alert be changed from "none" to "at time of event?"

Hello,

I have Googled my question and found nothing. I'm hoping someone here can help.

I use the calendar feature on my iPhone 4s to manage my appointments. It's the default calendar, and I'm not interested in changing calendars. When I set the appointment, if I fail to set the alert, it's default is 'none.' I'd like to change this default setting to 'at time of event.'

How would I do that?

Thank you in advance,

Jim

In your Settings app, go to "Mail, Contacts, Calendars." Scroll down a ways until you see the line "Default Alert Times." Press on that line and then you can elect to change the defaults for events, all day events or birthdays.

Hope that helps.

One comment to add, there is a setting in the same page to set the default calendar if you have more than one.
