Camra shortcut on lock screen not working after os5.1update

Is it me or is any one else found after updating to os5.1 the camera short cut dose not work
I have a iPod touch (latest version) and with old togel lock screen it worked now though when pressing apart from the screen trying to lift nothing happens.

Yeah it seems you have to touch the camera icon and slide up i wonder why its like that.

So it can't be done accidentally. Camera mode drains the battery rather quickly. Plus Photo Stream has to be a consideration as well.

Yes thats how it works.

well I kind of like the concept because when I had the tweak installed on my phone it seemed to have kept going into camera mode accidentally in my pocket. Im sure out of lots of tests they figured it was best for everyone. I dont understand why this wasnt a 5.0.1 thing because a lot of people didnt know the feature was there...
