Apple’s latest flagship smartphone, the iPhone 5s, comes with a great camera but so does Nokia’s Lumia 1020. In fact, the Lumia 1020 has an impressive camera sensor of 41 MP which constitutes its major feature and is actually unique in the smartphone market. Nokia is also known to have a good history in providing excellent camera sensors inside its smartphones.

That’s why, it would seem that the iPhone 5s loses the battle with the Lumia 1020, mainly because Lumia’s handset is designed with a special care regarding its photographing abilities. Nonetheless, this hasn’t stopped Michael A. Prospero from Laptop Magazine to confront the iPhone 5s and the Lumia 1020 in a camera shootout.

You can head over to Laptop Magazine’s website for more details regarding this photographing duel, but here’s its final conclusion:

”The iPhone 5s conclusively beat the Nokia Lumia 1020 in our photo face-off, taking seven out of 10 rounds–and tying one. Even after updating the Lumia 1020′s camera software, which reduced issues with the blue color cast on many images, colors were still more accurate on the iPhone. Apple’s device also excelled when delivering detail and contrast.”

So, after all, it seems that specs don’t really matter that much, do they?
