Pocket Gamer is reporting today that popular Call of Duty iPhone game, Call of Duty: World at War: Zombies, has just had its price slashed to £2.99/$4.99 in the App Store, to coincide with a brand new update. Today's update, Version 1.5.0, includes a new map, Der Riese (The Giant), as well as unlocking maps Verruckt and Shi No Numa, which were previously only available as DLC. New zombie variants have also been introduced, and the zombies can now climb ledges, the pesky devils! And as if that wasn't making things hard enough for you, the humble player, the update has improved the zombies' AI, especially during crowd situations in large areas. New achievements have also been added, as have Monkey Bombs, which attract nearby zombies and lure them away from you. Temporarily, at least!

New level, Der Riese, is set in a Zombie Factory, and features the all-new Pack A Punch Machine, that enables you to upgrade any weapons with increased firepower, more ammo and a new metal finish. New teleporters are also included to help you get around the vast level as quickly as possible, and other fan favourites such as the Hell Hounds, the Wunderwaffe lightning gun, and the Perks-a-Cola machine make a welcome return.

You can download all that extra, bargain-priced content here in the App Store. Happy zombie killing!
