Broken speaker?!

I covered up one of my speakers just now (the bottom one on the right) and then my music was muffled and the other speaker on the left wasnt even working?!
Is the speaker on the bottom left supposed to play music through it? I had no idea it was even broken since its already loud enough.

Should I take it to verizon and get it exchanged?

The bottom left speaker your referring to is actually the mic. This has been discussed in here plenty. Please use the search function!
