I managed to tighten one screw too hard and it suddenly snapped.
The other half is still in the hole so can't get a new screw on.
It is the screw circled in the picture.

My question is will this broken screw have any performance issues on my phone?
Or does this screw only keep the logicboard fasten?

This happened while i was changing my iPhone's midsection (Bezel).
Here is a picture: Changed from gold to black.

The only problem you might run into would be Wifi reception. That stand off is in turn one of the 5 mounting points for the Wifi antenna/shield.

Auch, will be finished putting together my phone later today.
So we'll see, and will let you know!

Great news!

I managed to get out the broken screw by using the smallest screwdriver I had and turned anticlockwise while putting som pressure on it.
Got a small zipbag with spare some screws and I basically replaced it.
So now I'm done with my little project and everything works like it should.

As you can see I still get a signal on my phone, wireless still works and even the bluetooth.

I guess we'll never know how that specific screw would have any effect on my phone.

It's always nice to have spare parts and screws around... for when these mishaps take place. Glad you got yours sorted out w/ the spare screw. :-)
