Bluetooth issue

Hi and hello to the forum.
Just got a jailbroken 3GS with software 4.1.
Tried to connect with blue tooth. It saw my Jabra straight away but won't see other mobiles and my laptop.
Is there a fix for this or am I just not pushing the right buttons.
