Are you referencing to pop3 mails which are downloaded and stored into iPhone memory ?
As you said, if you are using email on Servers (Imap protocol) I think you can restore all mails.
But restore task from iCloud can retrieve configuration of all email account?
E.g. I have 4 email accounts with different configurations, where I synchronize notes, contacts too.

I have 3 email accounts on my iPhone. I don't use iCloud but I have used both iTunes and Quick Start to transfer from iPhone 12-13-16-17. Every time all my email account configs transferred perfectly. The POP3 stored emails on my phone did not transfer, as you understand. I have never used imap.

As stated in my previous post, the backups do not contain App Store content.

so if I chose icloud backup , apps are downloaded automatically from app Store and afterwards data are imported from backup, is it right ?
