Backing up Iphone with Ipod

What I want to do is to purchase a iPhone 4 and sell my iPod. The question can I back up my information from my iPod onto the iPhone 4? If so will all information be transferred like notes, recorded radio programmes like example on ooTunes and applications?

I used the backup from my iPod touch for my iPhone 3gs without a problem. Everything was there.
