Auto Shutdown

Hi, I have been reading about an app called "Auto Shutdown" which is basically a 'sleep timer' for listening to music or audio books at night.
I noticed it is NOT in the iTunes store, but at a site called Cydia. Is it only for 'jail-broken' phones? Or can it be purchased and used on an unbroken phone?
Has anyone used it?

Hmm...for me I'd use the built-in Timer function in Clock.app, there's an option to "Sleep iPod" the countdown finishes.
