That is incorrect. I've bought several MacBooks and iPhones on eBay with no receipt, and they still repaired then.

I've called Apple and verified. The warrant goes with the machine, nothing else is required.

That's exactly what I thought... I think some people just want to much...

Help! I need a receipt of my iPhone 4 is it possible to get it with my serial number and where? Because I need to unlock my sim to another carrier and they asking me for a receipt.

A serial number is not needed when unlocking a device.
