Apps in itunes not syncing

I have an iPhone 4 running ios5. I have downloaded a couple of free apps through iTunes, but when I sync the phone these apps are not showing on my phone. Am I doing something wrong?

You need to click on the APPS tab on itunes. Click on Sync Apps and choose the apps you want to sync, and click Apply, and it will put the chosen apps on your phone.
