iTunes sync issues for iPod and iPhone

I've been trying to subscribe to a few podcasts.

I can get them fine in my iTunes.
However, I cannot sync them to my iPod or iPhone.
I have the latest software, iOS5.

I went to the podcasts and checked them off to sync, but after each syncing attempt, when I go on my iPod or iPhone, I got to itunes, and nothing shows up in the podcasts as subscribed to.

Anybody else have this issue?

I had the same issue tonite. iTunes would not recognize my device.
