The first beta launch about three weeks ago, bringing support for WatchKit, allowing developers to start creating apps for next year's Apple Watch. Apple notes that beta 2 includes the standard "bug fixes and improvements" and nothing more.
Since the new beta was just released to folks taking part in Apple's Developer Program, it is unknown what noticeable changes have been made. Apple is expected to release iOS 8.2 to the public sometime next year, closer to the release of the Apple Watch.
