App Restore

I'm not sure if icloud is responsible for this, or if this is even the right forum to be posting in, but I just upgraded to the iphone 4S, and my apps popped up on the screen, and they all say waiting, but nothing is happening. I assume they're supposed to be re-downloading from the app store, but as I said, it appears that nothing is happening. What should I do?

They are downloading in the background if they say waiting and none say loading its because it's downloading big ones in the background place your phone on the side then check back in a hour should be complete.

I ended up figuring out the problem. My phone was not set for automatic downloads - apps. I flipped that to on, and bingo, they started downloading several at a time. Thanks for your reply.
