Activation Problems

I wanted to post up a message regarding an activation issue i HAD. My iphone was delivered yesterday, my I.T. department activated it by phone this morning. A few minutes later i dropped by to pick it up and it gave that lovely message saying it was activation and that "this could take some time". LOL! I hate that message. Anyways, they told me it shouldnt take but a fiew more minutes and it would be fine. Four hours later its still trying to activate.
I personally activate it via the web and five minutes later it was live. I found this off that my activation via the web worked where activation via the phone and someone at AT&T yielded no results. Perhaps its conicidense - i dunno...
