A way to not receive "likes" on one's Facebook app?

Is there a way in the Facebook app to only receive posts and messages (and friend invitations), but block the "like" messages, which to me are virtually spamming my notifications. I really don't care to receive a zillion "likes" to anything I post; but I don't know of a way to not receive them. And it's not a specific person or app I'm wanting to block the "likes" from. I'd like to not receive all "likes."

Go into your fb privacy settings,privacy and then profile/tagging.Play around with a few settings and see if it helps.Or go into your account settings,fb notifications,and change a few settings there.
