What's new

2013

A very happy new year to you all :)

The very first time that New Year's Day was celebrated on January 1st was in 45 B.C., when Julius Caesar created the Julian calendar. He also named the seventh month after himself; July.

actually it was the Roman senate that did that to honour him,it was also the senate that named the month of August after Caesars nephew :)

I found sources giving both explanations for the origin of the July month name.

Now that it's 2013, I wonder how long it'll take me to stop writing 2012 on my checks.
