Yes, there was a cancellation and I got the surgery a couple of months earlier than expected.

The surgery was successful and I'm back home now. My brother is staying with me for the first day.

That's easily explained:
I can't start the old lawnmower on my own.
I had to wait for the weekend every time I wanted to mow the lawn, so that my son helped me starting it. Though it was way easier to work with it (it's a riding mower), I prefer the new one, because I can use it whenever I want. And, maybe I'm weird, but I know that I have "done something" when I've finished mowing, because I'm exhausted afterwards.
