AppleInsider reports that HBO has made a deal with Apple that will let both Universal and Fox make their movies available to be downloaded to iPhones, iPads and Macs via iCloud. This follows on from last week’s move by Apple to allow users to re-download previously purchased movies from iTunes via iCloud. Up until today, however, if you had wanted to re-download a Universal or Fox movie, you wouldn’t have been able to, but today’s agreement means that Universal and Fox movies will be now be available. AppleInsider notes that despite making the deal with Apple, HBO has kept tight hold of its exclusive rights to broadcast movies in the year-long window, which is the period of time after a movie has been released on DVD. An HBO spokesman confirmed to AppleInsider that HBO has now agreed that iCloud users can re-download movies that they already have on other devices. [/FONT]
