One of the major problems that a jailbroken device's user meets is restoration . It so happens for X or Y reason that one is forced to clean from top to bottom his device through iTunes . This unfortunately means losing jailbreak or worse: restore to a new iOS that's not jailbroken yet.
So how? The guys at CoolStar offer us their free software called Semi- Restore !
But how does the software work? In fact the software will not "restore" the literal meaning of your device as would iTunes . The operating system of your device will not be reinstalled.
Here's a Quick tutorial:
- Make a backup of your iDevice to your computer.
- Unzip the archive and run the Semi-Restore software.
- Semi-Restore will detect your device must be connected to your computer
- Click on the button SemiRestore.
- Your device will perform a first restart, you will see the loading bar as in a classic restoration, especially not touch anything until the software has finished its work.
